Can you say Happy New Year five days after the fact?

I guess I will since is the first post of '08.....I won't bore you with our family resolutions (it has something to do with everyone sleeping through the night, every night, and no whiny tantrums about dinner)......

Here are a few pictures from post-Christmas through this afternoon......enjoy and have a safe Epiphany!

We had a little party for Alison at our house on the 26th.....and this was her Pooh cake (I asked Ashley to spell "pooh cake" to make sure I wasn't falling for some really distasteful practical joke).....
The guest of honor with mommy and U.B.
A silly face from the birthday girl......Uncle Bud, Aunt Lucy, and the boys got Alison this outfit for her birthday.....
Alison was getting sleepy but she opened a new outfit from Papa and Nana......
Alison perked up when she got a Little People SUV from the Gorrell's!

Switching gears....(did you get that segue? SUV, switching "gears"......I'm easily entertained), Here are a few photos of the girls up at my folks house New Year's Weekend.....Grace starts off the madness by opening a present.....
Alison tries to bang the next present open with her new Elmo cellphone....she got the Sesame Street plan...she can only text or call Muppets......
Grace opens some new clothes.....she looks like she's sad because she was getting emotional because she liked some of the gifts so much.....
Alison smirks as if to scoff, "You think you can keep socks on my feed, do you??"
Grace shows off two of her favorite presents.....a Dora hoodie and some new brown boots.....
Adding some more layers to her outfit, Grace shows off a new apron and oven mitt for her play kitchen......
Ok, now we've moved on to after we got home....this is Alison in a new hoodie she got for Christmas.....along with some stretch pants and white socks.....(Let's get physical.....physical....aerobics anyone?)
Alison from this afternoon in a new running (more like walking-like-a-drunken-sailor) suit.....
Stirring up some things in the kitchen.....
Headed to the store and facing the front of the car for the first time....big time stuff! Notice the yellow socks and purple shoes to go with the blue of the clothes....she's her own color palette today....
In other news, Alison's fourth tooth FINALLY busted through her gum line in the last 24 hours.....it's been weeks since we thought it would....and it brought a peaceful night's sleep last night. Also, she went for her one year check up - 29 inches tall (45th percentile), 19 lbs and 1 oz (25th percentile), and a head circumference in the 75th....or what we refer to as "an orange on an average-sized tooth pick".
